Start with a confidential case review.
Share the essentials — wallet, transaction, timeline. We respond within one business day with a candid view of what on-chain evidence can and cannot do for your situation.
What to include so we can triage fast.
- Wallet addresses and/or transaction hashes involved
- Approximate date(s) and timeline of the loss or incident
- Which exchanges, platforms, or apps were used to send funds
- Estimated amount lost, in USD or the original asset
- Any communications with the counterparty (screenshots, usernames, links)
- Whether you've already filed a police report, IC3 complaint, or exchange ticket
- Whether you're contacting us directly or on behalf of counsel/a client
What happens next.
- 01Acknowledgment. Confirmation of receipt, typically the same business day.
- 02Response. A senior analyst replies within 1 business day with initial questions or a candid assessment.
- 03Triage call. If the matter warrants it, a short feasibility call is scheduled within 2–3 business days.
- 04Written scope. If we can help, you receive a fixed-fee assessment scope before any billable work begins.
The first 24–72 hours matter most.
This is general guidance, not legal advice. If you believe a wallet is actively being drained or you were just defrauded, act quickly on the basics before anything else:
Official reporting channels — general guidance, not legal advice.
Aegis is not a law firm and does not file reports on your behalf. We routinely advise clients to also file with:
File a complaint at ic3.gov — the primary federal intake for internet and cryptocurrency fraud.
File a police report in your jurisdiction and keep the report number for exchanges and insurers.
Many state AG consumer-protection offices accept fraud complaints, including crypto-related ones.
Handles certain financial-crime cases and can be relevant for large-scale fraud.
Intake data is treated as privileged by default.
Information you submit is stored on encrypted systems with need-to-know access and is never used in marketing or shared beyond the analysts assigned to your matter.
English-language intake, worldwide time zones welcome.
Our team operates on US Eastern Time (Monday – Friday · 09:00 – 18:00 ET), but accepts written intake from clients in any time zone; response commitments are measured in business days, not local office hours.
Our only official channels are the phone number, email address, WhatsApp, and Facebook page listed on this page. We never solicit victims via cold DM, Telegram, or unsolicited "recovery specialist" messages. Verify any contact against this page before responding.
